Job Duties/Responsibilities: 

 

The Interface Team Lead provides overall technical leadership support and expertise to the entire project life cycle in the analysis, design and development of interface programming services and activities for the new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) for the State of South Dakota.  The Interface Team Lead is responsible for coordination and communications with other various project team leads to ensure mappings between external data sources, files and databases and the MMIS Oracle database and stored procedures is conducted in a professional and technically adept manner.  The Interface Team Lead has lead responsibility for defining and developing the MMIS software functions and services for sending and receiving file connections, data sets and data elements over secure standards-based Internet based protocols.

Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Leads the analysis, design, and development of interface activities

·         Coordinates with business area team leads to ensure interface data is mapped to target tables

·         Coordinates with Integration Manager to ensure internal interfaces between SOA components are defined and tested

·         Develops schedules and monitor the effort of the team

·         Coordinates with external systems representatives

·         Conducts requirements analysis

·         Conducts mapping of data elements

·         Develops interface architecture

·         Develops interface documentation

·         Coordinates interface testing with test lead

Skills Required:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

·         Oracle database and  stored procedures

·         PL/SQL programming expert

·         Knowledgeable of ETL tool sets and functions

·         Sun Solaris operating system and services

·         Bourne and Korn shell scripts: grep, sed, nawk, flow control constructs

·         Perl programming language syntax, variables, commands, scripts, subroutines, and modules

·         Leadership Skills: Team building, flexibility, collaboration, negotiation, facilitation, communication, presentation and group dynamics

·         Excellent written, oral and presentation skills

·         IBM Rational ClearCase (CM) and ClearQuest (Change Control)
