The Lead Enterprise Architect position will design and mature architectures on an enterprise level for our federal clients. The ideal candidate must understand architecture elements at both the OCIO and Program levels, including segment models of the enterprise, business and technical processes, and program management. The Lead Enterprise Architect will support and provide overall guidance in the areas of: defining and implementing an enterprise architecture program; improving IT and business alignment; implementing application portfolio management processes; defining an IT strategy; creating information and business process models; defining an enterprise architecture blueprint and roadmap; defining a technology architecture strategy and process that helps align IT projects with business; and designing enterprise application integration solutions.
As an onsite representative of the company, you must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with the client.
Occasional travel between client sites may be required. US Citizenship is a requirement for this position. Candidate may be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Security clearances are a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: Six (6) to nine (9) years of experience in enterprise architecture and related activities.
Skills: Position requires a general understanding of government agencies and their business processes, strong understanding and experience with EA frameworks, budgeting / accounting / funding processes, business process reengineering (BPR), technical writing (experience in documenting functional and data processes), enterprise architecture, e-Business, and IT management and excellent client handling and oral / written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
