Participates in the rate-making, reserving, and risk evaluation functions. Counsels management and advises on underwriting functions that require actuarial or mathematical techniques to determine approrpriate courses of action. Assures preparation and interpretation of data in support of rate filings with various state insurance departments. Determines rates of mortality, sickness, retirement, etc. based on analysis of statistical data. Assists in design of insurance plans, calculation of premiums, determining cash reserves and premium rates necessary to ensure sufficient funds for benefits payment and profitability. Functional Responsibilities: Operates as the highest-level acturial consultant by leading the preparation and interpretation of data.

Principal Responsibilities:
Support US GAAP financial reporting and actuarial reporting responsibilities in the assigned countries in the Latin America Region
Review and approve new products
Review and in some cases help develop business plans for each country.
Support for M&A activity as needed

Job Requirements
FSA preferred or strong career ASA (non-student) background preferred
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP standards and methods required
Knowledge of pricing for Individual Life products
Knowledge of Variable Annuity guarantees preferred
Attention to detail, ability to organize information effectively and presentation skills needed
Foreign language skills a plus  (Spanish)
Ability to work with a virtual team across geography needed
Coaching, mentoring or developing other employees experience a plus
Knowledge of actuarial software a plus (i.e. MG Alfa)
