Job Description:
LAND ACQUISITION SPECIALIST for Renewable Energy Systems Americas, Inc. (RES-Americas), an expanding Wind Energy company based in Colorado. Projects are developing - MUST be willing to travel. Office location is Minneapolis, MN. Responsible for providing site identification, qualification, and lease negotiation services for Wind Farm sites as well as preparing, submitting, and presenting permit applications.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrated understanding of real estate acquisition, leasing principles and leasing experience.
Knowledgeable about Utility construction, site identification and local land use planning issues.
Experience in filing zoning applications and making presentations at zoning hearings.
Site identification, qualification, and lease negotiation services.
Preparing, submitting, and presenting permit applications.
Employees must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess an appropriate valid driver's license, possess personal insurance coverage, and have an acceptable driving record.
Point of contact for the community and/or governmental agencies. May be involved in managing zoning regulations.
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Familiarity with and ability to stay current regarding changing regulatory requirements.
Represents the company to meet contractual requirements.
Understanding of contract terms and ability to recognize discrepancies.
Responsible to ensure SAFETY requirements must be met.
Stay current with professional and industrial best practices.
Must be able to work professionally with clients, vendors, employees, managers and supervisors.
Regular attendance is an essential requirement of the job.

Requirements:

Minimum 5-10 yrs of proven real estate experience that includes a proven track record of managing large capital-industrial construction projects.
Needs expertise and the necessary skills to interface with the Client and will be instrumental in delivering on time cost effective projects.
ABILITY TO TRAVEL, based in the Minneapolis, Minnesota office.
Skilled in MSOffice and Outlook.
Employees must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess an appropriate valid driver's license, possess personal insurance coverage, and have an acceptable driving record. 6) Drug test and background investigation required.

Education:
BS/BA Business, Management or Real Estate related field.
