Position Description:

Environmental Technician 2nd shift 3pm-11:20pm JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs routine and frequent manual and heavy labor tasks related to on and off-site proper treatment, storage, packaging, transport and/or disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost effective practices and PSC policies, practices and procedures. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Transports personnel and waste to and from customers' job locations. * May assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with appropriate regulations and PSC policies, practices, and procedures. * Follows and understands all Health & Safety /Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures as outlined in the PSC procedures and policies. * Responds to emergency situations involving hazardous materials incidents at a specific site. * Maintains Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsement to legally operate the local PSC vehicles necessary for transporting personnel and waste to and from customers' job locations. * Provides support to the Depack, Retail and HHW groups both internally or On-site as needed. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Perform manual duties (i.e. bulking, packaging, moving materials) on lab pack projects. SCOPE: MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE: EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: * High school diploma or equivalent * Commercial Driver's License with hazmat Endorsements JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE: * 0-2 years DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Attention to detail * Ability to follow procedures * Safe driving WORKING ENVIRONMENT: * On various sites, outdoors and indoors
