The role of this position will be as an instructor and curriculum developer in the technical programs offered by the Knowledge Center – requirements include being the primary instructor on the Custom Field programs and development of said courses.

The majority of this role is that of a face-to-face instructor for Custom Metalworking / Metalcutting programs created and offered through the KKC. This work is performed either at the corporate headquartes in Latrobe, Pa, customer site or perhaps a neutral location. Location and needs determined by client requested program.

Depending on the skill level and knowledge of the individual as it relates to technical applications, they will be asked to enhance, update or create training programs as part of the KKC library.

Kennametal is considering both Full-Time Instructors as well as Part-Time Consultants. Consultants are not required to reside in the Latrobe, PA area as they can travel as needed for program delivery. Full-time Instructors will reside in the Western PA area or perhaps other global locations where Knowledge Center Operations exist.

Experience and Skills:

-Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of 7-10 years technical and/or sales experience in the metalcutting field, or equivalent experience.

-An advanced degree in engineering or business is preferred.

-The incumbent must be well versed in PC software applications and have outstanding oral and written communication skills.

-Must be self-motivated with proven abilities in working with customers.

-The incumbent must also have strong platform training delivery abilities.
