The Restaurant Manager Is the Most Important Job At Chipotle. We're looking for the very best people to manage our restaurants. You must be: passionate about food and running a great restaurant, a great communicator, and able to recognize and develop talent. Position Summary Responsible for managing all kitchen operations at an assigned restaurant including prep and grill. Confers with kitchen and line personnel regarding food preparation. Oversees cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities and ensures that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Supervise, direct and coach kitchen employees working during the shift. Sets and maintains pace of the kitchen. Main Accountabilities In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, main accountabilities are as follows: • Demonstrates awareness and understanding of food, beverage, and labor objectives by communicating issues regarding waste, portioning, scheduling, etc. • Sets an appropriate image and role model that represents the image and work style that is reflective of Chipotle's values and culture • Maintains prep and grill schedule. • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring prep and grill crew. • Trains future Kitchen Managers • Responsible for food ordering, inventory and cooking basics • Emphasizes safety and security awareness, and ensuring that employees are properly trained to create safe situations • Immediately communicates equipment problems, practices good preventative maintenance on store assets • Depending on the needs of the business and/or department may complete other duties as assigned to advance a particular project or resolve a business issue Food Service,Retail Management
