Responsible for searching for new business in both existing facilities and potential new markets that are uncovered. Responsible for consistent reading about existing products and new products to be able to discuss in detail with Laboratory Personnel for product support and sales. Responsible for adequate record keeping and managing contracts with existing account base. Develop relationships with key personnel in all facilites in their assignments. Position requires ability to comprehend and explain various medical conditions and laboratory testing systems and reagents to different levels of expertise including Physicians, Pathologists, Lab Managers, and medical technologists at Hospital, Reference Laboratories, Public Health Departments, Physician Laboratory facilities, and miscellaneous other medical testing facilities. Continual updating of personal knowledge of Abbott Products and competitive knowledge. Position is available in Washington, D.C. area.
