We currently have an opening as Key Account Manager, Managed Care position in the Philadelphia/NJ/NY Metro area.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the development, management, and growth of our Regional Managed Care Accounts. The position must achieve sales maximization, business and brand loyalty, and market share growth within the targeted accounts. The position is also responsible for efficient communication, marketing, management, and implementation of strategic business plans to gain and grow market share and profitability within their accounts.

The Key Account Manager is focused on identifying, developing and facilitating business activities at the major corporate headquarters for contracting, marketing, rebates, pull-through, and problem resolution. Negotiate and develop relationships deep and wide in the account including senior executives. You must be able to coordinate activity with all Diabetes Care personnel within the Managed Markets, HCP, Trade sales organizations, as well as Retail Sales Organization and corporate headquarters.

The Key Account Manager should focus on exceeding business plan sales and profitability objectives. The position requires travel, (approximately 50%), with the majority of accounts in Philadelphia, NJ and Metro NY. Preferred location for position is Philadelphia, NJ or metro NY.

Specific Skills Required:

This position requires competencies in strategic sales, sales analysis, presentation skills and a thorough knowledge of the managed care marketplace. The Key Account Manager will be the subject matter expert relative to the account and must develop solid relationships with senior personnel at the account. Must be able to make significant product access gains for the Bayer product line within the account, culminating with account closes with preferred access. While the primary duties encompass closing business, the Key Account Manager will facilitate the transition of pull through activities.

Job Related Experience: 6 - 10 years.
