Turkey Hill Dairy is a food processor that has grown in the last twenty-five years from a small, local Lancaster County dairy into a powerful food brand. Best known for its ice cream and iced teas (the #1 refrigerated iced tea in the U.S. for the last six years), Turkey Hill employs 650 associates in a non-union, very modern operation with strong careers in areas such as production, warehouse, distribution (drivers), marketing, accounting, quality assurance and other related support staff jobs. Its core business territory ranges from New England to North Carolina along the east cost, but recent sales expansion has taken the brand further south and as far west as Colorado, including major metropolitan areas like Atlanta, Indianapolis, Detroit and Denver.
The Key Account Executive will help to implement all company sales and marketing programs through some or all of the following contacts: broker supervisors, sales reps, executives, direct sales reps, distributor reps, accounts serviced by distributors, DSD accounts in their service area, major foodservice accounts, and headquarters for key accounts. The primary area of responsibility would be the Baltimore, Washington, Eastern Shore Maryland areas.
Responsibilities:
· Attend/Supervise warehouse calls with brokers.
· Ride with and monitor broker sales persons
· Set goals and monitor progress of goals with brokers
· Manage any issues brokers/distributors may have
· Conduct sales meetings with brokers/distributors
· Attend customer and distributor sales meetings with brokers and assure that Turkey Hill products are well represented.
· Visits distributors’ warehouses to check codes, handling of product and deliveries.
· Monitors delivery schedules and provides for transfers and product movement.
· Sets up new accounts with complete credit history
· Gathers product to pack out displays devoted to specified THD product.
· Resets products, sets up storewide blitzes, and sets up display P.O.P.
· Coordinates demonstrations, promotions, and marketing plans with customers
· Write-up of damages and returns
· Coordinates with distribution to insure proper delivery service
· Sets up equipment placement in cooperation with responsible department personnel; consults with Supervisors or Manager, when required.
· Solicits the sale of additional and new items to existing accounts.
· Provides feedback reports on a timely basis in assigned areas.
· Keeps reps from major accounts and distributors informed of all company sales and marketing programs.
· Oversees sales reps territories to ensure company products space and authorization.
· Reviews sales reps weekly and daily sales reports.
· Reports to work station on time and performs the company business as required.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3-5 years experience - food, beverage, or ice cream preferred
· 50% travel, most day trips covering sales territory, some overnights.
· College Degree is preferred but not required
· Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Powerpoint preferred
