DESCRIPTION – Junior Level Environmental Scientist, Santa Fe, NM   Tetra Tech Division’s Santa Fe, New Mexico office is seeking an individual with a minimum of BS degree in environmental science/natural resources/hydrology/physical geography or related field with 2-3 years progressive experience in professional environment, or equivalent graduate level education. Water Resources/Natural Resources background on a variety of projects preferred, including familiarity with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Field work and a well rounded environmental background a plus. Excellent technical writing and communication skills required. Previous experience with federal, state, and/or local agencies/entities a plus. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of MS Word and Excel, including document preparation, and be available for travel.

Job Responsibilities – Assists in natural resource planning and project management support on a variety of environmental projects such as Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EAs), Natural Resource Management Plans, and water resource projects. Performs research investigations, develops evaluation techniques, prepares and integrates data leading to a preliminary or final report. Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard scientific techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Field work could be a component of work load. Provide support to Office Manager in proposal writing, project management, business development and client relations
