Judicial Assistant

Wisconsin Court of Appeals

 

The Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District 2 is seeking candidates for a full-time Judicial Assistant for the Honorable Lisa S. Neubauer.

LOCATION:  The position is headquartered in Waukesha, WI.  District 2 Offices are located near I-94 and Grandview Boulevard.

SALARY:  Salary is $49,378 annually with excellent state benefits.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Managing the office of the judge, overseeing the efficiency of Judge Neubauer’s chambers and establishing a filing, workflow and tracking method that meets the judge’s needs.   Type, edit, proofread record checks, cites checks and other duties related to the production and release of judge-authored opinions. Other duties include assisting law clerks, working with staff from other chambers to coordinate and direct caseload responsibilities as District 2 cases are received.  Employment is terminus with the judge’s term in office.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: (1) Progressively responsible work experience in a high level or executive administrative support role; (2) Work experience in the legal profession in a role involving multiple and complex tasks, independent judgment and discretion with confidential information.  Preferred: (3) Excellent communication and problem solving skills, including experience working in a team environment; (4) A demonstrated working knowledge of the court system.
