Our client is able to serve banking, brokerage, and corporate customers primarily on the East Coast, as well as through investment banking offices in selected locations. They also have full-service retail brokerage offices that serve customers in 49 states and Washington, D.C. Global services are provided through 33 international offices. Our client is currently seeking a Jr. Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst will review and process all mortgage rate lock change forms on all applicable mortgage originating systems to ensure lock policies and procedures are followed. Validate lock submission reports to ensure product and pricing information is accurate. Handle multiple phone calls on the Secondary Marketing Hotline throughout the day along with performing daily work flow. Liaison between Secondary Marketing, Mortgage Consultants and the service center personnel providing quick efficient resolution to support inquiries. Deliver quality, professional customer service to all internal and external personnel. Perform research to respond to requests or assignments. Handle multiple small tasks concurrently. Understand company processes and work flows and make recommendations for process improvements. Bring closure to issues, answer questions, and complete requests by using advanced problem solving skills. Solve problems independently through analytical thinking. Understand business needs and provide possible solutions by explaining clearly in both written and verbal communication skills to our customers and upper management. Consistently seek, suggest and document cost control ideas and process improvements. Consistently learn new systems, applications, processes and techniques. Monitor and review data integrity reports and provide feedback to upper management on results. Manage time with priorities and deadlines set by management.
Requirements:
- Four year college degree in Business, Finance or Economics preferred
- 1 - 2 years Secondary Marketing, pricing, rate lock, or comparable prime lending mortgage experience required
- Experience in prime mortgage originations a plus
- Must be detail oriented, able to multi task, and possess excellent math skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills required
- Manage time with priorities and deadlines set by others
- Good PC skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Access preferred
- Previous experience using mortgage origination or processing systems a definite plus
