Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, the Associate Account Representative will be assigned an Area Sales Leader to service his / her accounts for a minimum of six months to a year, after which, he / she will fill open territories and progress to a sales rep, based on availability. Responsible for prospecting, conducting effective sales presentations, servicing and collecting from selling organizations, this position is also responsible for event support and Lead Generation for a region.
ESSENTIAL SERVICE FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist Area Sales Leader with the implementation of the sales merchandising formula with each account according to the sales and service strategy.
2. In conjunction with Area Sales Leader, coordinate and conduct account kick-off's, planning meetings and teacher meetings.
3. Assist Area Sales Leader with the development, formulation and maintenance of area school listings for the purpose of generating sales.
4. Ensure accounts have proper promotional materials, incentives and books needed to run the scheduled campaign. Distribute these materials to the accounts.
5. Ensure school inventory levels are accurate; collecting unused supplies or damaged products, recycling inventory as needed.
ESSENTIAL SALES FUNCTIONS (in assigned territory):
6. Prospect, acquire, service, and retain high quality qualified schools, corporations and retailers to sell Entertainment's products.
7. Ensure all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Periodic audits of client orders/paperwork will be performed. Provide timely and accurate reports on results as required by management.
8. Implement the sales merchandising formula with each account according to the divisions service strategy. Merchandising formula includes conducting planning meetings, kick-offs, sales training, teacher's meetings, back-to-school nights and incentive campaigns/contests for accounts.
9. Manage the service, collection and recommit steps of the sales cycle.
10. Continually formulate, update and maintain area school listings for the purpose of generating sales.
11. On an as-needed basis, direct service personnel to achieve sales and service objectives.
12. Foster, promote, and contribute to a positive team environment throughout the company. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when assigned additional responsibilities or projects. Willingly support other channels as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Ability to relocate within region preferred and must be able to travel as needed within the region.
· BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred. An emphasis on sales and/or marketing is preferred.
· Experience with basic MS Word, MS Excel, e-mail and Internet functions.
· Some experience working in a service related position (retail, hospitality or food service is a plus)
· Demonstrated ability to source, contact, conduct presentations, negotiate, close sales, and meet established quotas.
· Confirmed ability to establish, maintain and retain loyal relationships while successfully managing service requirements of clients is critical for success in this position.
· Well developed multi-tasking, organizational skills, and detail orientation are key to success.
· Excellent written, verbal communication and listening skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and public speaking skills.
· Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, problem solving skills.
· Ability to work extended hours
· Self-provided transportation with appropriate licenses and insurance for making sales and services calls is required.
