LOCATION: South Carolina
 
ROLE
The Technical Specialist will be part of the electronic trading applications development group and will join a highly dynamic team working on building the next generation of equities trading applications. The development is being guided by changes in business direction driven by market regulators, competitors and customers.  The candidate will be involved in all aspects of software life cycle including design, development, implementation, and client support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the project leader and architect to develop and implement technically sound solutions using Java Understand and implement software design principles like OOPs, service-oriented architecture, design patterns, and database design. Experienced with all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and willing to work with all phases including thorough testing, and deployment. Perform well within a team, guide others and be able to take guidance and direction. Willing to take additional opportunities and initiatives as and when required.EXPECTED OUTCOMES
Have sound knowledge of technologies required and be productive from the onset without much learning curve. Ensure timely delivery of quality software code following system design, and standards. Participate in the overall design of the system. Implement and execute unit, regression, integration, and performance testing. Keep up-to-date with current technologies. Document the design, code, test plans properly and as per CitiTech standards. Provided Client Support were required.  EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of overall programming experience with Java technologies handling large volume business.
 
SKILLS
Language:  Java Java Technologies:  Sockets, Threads, RMI, JMS, JNDI, JDBC, XML, JSP Messaging: Tibco- EMS OOP/Design Fundamentals. Knowledge of rational modeling tool such as Rational Rose.
