This position is located at the Hartford Customer Service Group in Fort Washington, PA. Our Customer Contact Center supports Sales and Service Operations for AARP Health, providing premier healthcare products for people 50 years of age and older.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?The Consultant role is a technical leadership position that requires strong application design / development skills and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have at least five years of application architecture or technical leadership experience and a thorough knowledge of application development. The objective of this role is to ensure that the business and quality requirements are being met by the technical design and implementation. Primary responsibilities include the establishment of standards for business rules implementation, constructing a design that is re-usable, efficient and enables the stated business goals. He or she will be responsible for ensuring that architectural integrity and best-practices are maintained at the project or program level.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ability to work in a team environment using JAVA and J2EE in a service-oriented architecture (SOA) environmentAbility to complete analysis and design deliverablesWork with IT and business analysts to design integration solutions between systems running on multiple platformsPerform unit testing of integration solutions and provide technical support to the testingWHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
B.S. in Computer Science or related work experience 4+ years of experience with the full development cycle from analysis through test and deployment 2+ years development experience with Java/J2EE 3+ years experience with object-oriented concepts 2 to 3 years of working knowledge of Windows operating systems 3+ years of working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL (Oracle experience a plus) Strong analytical and design skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to work independently and as part of a team 3+ years of experience with IBM Rational Unified Process including Systems Use Cases and Sequence diagrams Excellent oral and written communication
