Key Role: Lead a development team in the design and implementation of service-oriented integrations of research technologies used to promote increased information transparency, human collaboration, and system automation in unclassified and classified environments. Leverage Java/JEE, .NET, SOAP, XML, OWL, RDF, and database skills in addition to object-oriented analysis and design concepts to automate systems interactions via Enterprise Service Bus-like middleware technology. Work with the team to identify candidate technologies and solution patterns using existing services or creating new services to interact with identified collaboration technologies. Identify, explore, and select and  existing Web Services specifications, including UDDI and WS-Security, emerging Web Services specifications, including WS-SX and WS-Discovery, and Semantic Web and emerging Web technologies, including Atom, XMPP, AJAX, and JSON to define next-generation integration and collaboration platforms. Articulate design and implementation choices in-house and to clients, holding high-level and low-level discussions regarding architecture and implementation decisions. Basic Qualifications: -6+ years of experience with software engineering and architecture-6+ years of experience with Java development-2+ years of experience with database development-Knowledge of building JEE/J2EE applications-Ability to obtain a security clearance Additional Qualifications: -4+ years of experience with system architecture development-Experience with artificial intelligence, data mining, or computational linguistics a plus-Knowledge of Semantic Web or developing OWL ontologies a plus -Experience with SOAP-based Web Services development-Experience with WS-* standards and specifications, including WS-Policy, WS-Security,  WS-Addressing, and UDDI-Knowledge of Web 2.0 and social networks-Ability to work independently and within a team environment-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-Active TS/SCI clearance a plus-BS or BA degree in CS, Mathematics, or Engineering Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
