Job Summary:
Genscape seeks an individual to work with the IT development staff and other teams within the company to design and develop software applications for use by internal and external clients. The Java developer will work on a range of projects, from garnering requirements for new projects to modifying code within existing projects.
Essential Functions
·Requirements gathering
·High level software design
·Develop unit tests
·Implement design (write code)
·Assist QA group in designing overall functional tests
·Modify code for product improvements and bug fixes
Experience Requirements
·Must be able to communicate complex technical details to a non-technical audience
·Must be able to transform broad business requirements into a technical design
·Must be able to consistently deliver results on-time with a high level of quality
·Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Education Requirements
·Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, or Engineering or equivalent job experience
Technical Requirements
·1 year of Java development experience
·Required: Java, J2EE, JDBC, Application Design
·Preferred: JSP, Servlets, JSF
·Bonus: Perl, Ruby
