We are currently accepting resumes for a Java/WebSphere System Architect in Marysville, Ohio. 

The selected candidate will perform the following duties:
- Provide technical recommendation and support of application and infrastructure projects requiring J2EE web application technology    
- Perform application build and deployment activities (System Configuration Management) in WebSphere  
- Maintain the WebSphere Application Server environment and WebSphere Portal by monitoring and applying Fixpacks as needed   
- Provide WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal Server scripted administration and support; WebSphere Network Deployment Manager Administration; WebSphere Application Performance monitoring, tuning, diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Identify, recommend, and/or develop common reusable code blocks
- Transfer knowledge, document processes, and ensure repeatable, quality services 
- Review, recommend, and improve the application architecture, design, development, integration and deployment process and activities   
- Ensure sound design/development practices for all large scale J2EE based projects and review application designs and make recommendations
- Perform incident and problem analysis and resolution related to applications, system configuration management, and WebSphere Application Server infrastructure  
- Work with Business Teams to clarify application development and testing requirements, perform system configuration management services including source code repository management  
- Work with Development Team to guide application design, integration, and testing to fit application development architecture 
- Train and mentor team/others   
- Plan for infrastructure upgrades and improvements

Required Skills and Experience:
- 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 years IS experience
- 3 years J2EE Application Design and Development
- 2 years in Enterprise Web Development
- Experience with J2EE application architecture, design, development and programming tools
- Expert knowledge of Cruise Control, CVS/Subversion/others, WebSphere Application Server, and WebSphere Portal    
- Expert level knowledge of WebSphere platform tools and processes  
- Object Oriented Analysis and Design experience
- In-depth understanding of Enterprise architecture, architecture patterns, and design patterns    
- WebSphere Java Management Extensions and Jython or JACL Experience 
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills, ability to take initiative and works well with team   
- Competent development skills using J2EE technologies    
- First hand experience developing enterprise (J2EE) applications and WebSphere platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in Object Oriented application architecture, design, and development    
- Database development experience
- Able to explain complex issues in non-technical terms    
- Good presentation skills
