IT security risk analysts work as part of the IT Security Risk Management (IT SRM) organisation to identify the control gaps and control failures in application designs and future application system deployments and report them transparently to IT Risk Control. The Analyst is required to work with business and IT streams to assess the IT choices they have made and are available to them, and determine the risks presented to the business and the bank. An integral part of this process includes validation of compliance with Bank standards, initiatives and strategic direction, negotiation with business and IT on the options, risks and mitigating factors affecting the final risk that the business accepts to manage.
The IT SRM team materially contributes to the development and direction of the Bank's IT policies and standards through involvement with all business and technology areas of the Bank. The candidate is required to advise and work with other IT security risk management functions (e.g. IT Quality Assurance teams, IT Architects or Regional IT Management), and identify emerging application security vulnerabilities that need further mitigating risk control.

Produce written risk reports, technical standards, position statements, findings, opinions and architectural recommendations
