Modis, a leader in the IT Staffing Industry, is seeking an experienced IT Manager on behalf of our client.

Job Title: Team Leader/ Management trainee role. This is not a Project Manager Role
Department: Information Technology

Job Duties:
Knowledge of IBM's Information Server Datastage product and Microstrategy's Business Intelligence Server product a must. Knowledge of IBM's DB2 database technology is required.

Experience Required:
Ability to direct or coordinate activities of a team (developers/project integrators/implementers/tech services/software testers) involved in/oversee the analysis, design, development or implementation of software applications and hardware deployment. Must be able to determine user requirements, interface with development area or software/hardware vendors, plan projects, establish priorities and monitor projects. Responsible for evaluating project status and resource utilization and implementation of changes to improve team effectiveness. Must possess ability to provide or deliver constructive evaluation input,  When needed, be able to communicate and provide career development consultation, performance management, and pay determination. Able to apply more in-depth skills and experience to address problems within area of responsibility and share more in-depth expertise.

Requirements:

BS or AAS degree and/or equivalent experience required. Requires minimum of 2 years experience in related area/retail environment. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, resolve more complex issues and implement and/or approve suggested solutions, coordinate and supervise daily activities of business support, technical support, etc. of assigned area. Must be able to solve routine and non-routine problems.

Experience in project management required. Experience in utilizing the corporate data warehouses for data mining. Ability to manage projects and relationships with outside vendors. Must have in-depth knowledge of work being performed. Able to apply expertise to solve problems within own area of responsibility. Must be able to lead the Decision Support staff to ensure that the Decision Support Systems (DDS) and Executive Information Systems (EIS) are built to meet the information needs of the business leadership and various business units. Must have leadership skills needed to provide project management, resource management, and ensure quality and timely solutions. Must have knowledge of process and data modeling, data architectural development methodology, IT planning methodology, consulting and facilitation, project management and extensive knowledge of the enterprise’ s data and decision-making processes.

Knowledge of IBM's Information Server Datastage product and Microstrategy's Business Intelligence Server product a must.
