Installers are needed to perform tasks such as, take a general inventory of equipment shipped, remove the old laptop and replace it with a new laptop and possibly where needed install a new printer, update the inventory web site and ship back the old equipment per the procedures written by the customer.
Basic understanding of networking. Ability to follow and strictly adhere to detailed instructions, step-by-step.
Installer must be detailed, personable, high attention to detail, good customer satisfaction and communication.
Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written instructions is required.
Must have standard workstation installation skills, broad Windows OS, NT/2000/XP knowledge, experience in loading software and customization. Willingness to make adjustments to fluctuating workloads and priorities. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
Installer will travel to various national insurance agency offices located in Belleville, IL and surrounding areas for approximately the next 3 months. A paid, mandatory, two-day training session will take place in Central Illinois. The installer will travel to Bloomington on the Wednesday prior to training; this will be paid actual travel time up to 8 hours. The installer will travel home either Friday night or Saturday morning; this will be paid actual travel time up to 8 hours. The mandatory training will be very extensive and will require long hours.
An Average of 8 – half day installs will be performed each week; however the customer controls the schedule so there could be some weeks with 6-7 installs scheduled. The first week of work is considered a Learning Curve week where only 4 – half day installs will be completed. Installer must provide their own reliable transportation (mileage will be reimbursed at 40 cents per mile), proof of valid driver's license, and auto insurance. Installer must be able to pay for travel expenses up front, which will be reimbursed weekly, according to project guidelines.
The Average hourly rate of $18.75 is based on a 32 hour work week and is calculated by using the following: Base pay of $10.00 per hour, plus half day install bonus of $35.00 per successfully completed install. Installers may be eligible for a completion bonus if all project criteria are met.
