Westchester consulting firm seeks to add technician to its’ network support staff.  Will be involved in all facets of Local and Wide Area network, i.e., installation, configuration, monitoring/analyzing and troubleshooting.  We are looking for an individual with experience in Microsoft back office platforms. The right candidate will be professional, highly motivated, and capable of working with little supervision.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide clients with various technical services pertaining to networks, workstations, remote computing, communications, and Internet solutions.

Configure and deploy Microsoft Windows 2003 servers, SBS 2003 servers and workstations.

Test network to insure it is functioning as planned.
Assist with installing and configuring switches and routers.

Consult with clients to determine needs and identify issues.

Install and configure wireless devices.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 plus years experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting various Windows networks.

Understanding of operating platforms, connectivity, security and information storage.

Knowledge of Windows 2003, SBS 2003, 2000 and XP server and desktop.

Knowledge of Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, and Outlook.

Must understand domains, TCP/IP, VPN’s and firewalls.

Travel in the Tri-state area.

Candidates must have an ability to work in a variety of environments, have excellent follow-up skills, be able to provide detailed documentation, and to work effectively.

Good communication and the ability to work independently.
