Description:

The role of the Sr. PMO Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to timelines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Additionally, this position will be responsible for increasing adoption and adherence to the ProBuild Project Management Methodology & Governance Models.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

·         Direct and manage project development from beginning to end including: defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

·         Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

·         Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

·         Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

·         Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

·         Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

·         Promote the use and adoption of standard ProBuild Project Management Methodology (“PMM”)

·         Promote effective processes and controls that provide clear visibility into all projects and key performance indicators to ensure project success and compliance to internal development standards

·         Monitor project delivery methodology/process

·         Support the functional and IT project managers by providing guidance around the usage of the PMM

·         Guide and support team leads and project managers in project status and performance reporting packages for review, including resource utilization across projects, as well as risk & mitigation strategies

·         Support the compilation of key estimating factors, resource assumptions, and other metrics for all phases of project planning

·         Conduct quality assurance audits of project teams in support of the project quality plan, including project post-mortem assessments

·         Promote and participate in the development, maintenance, promotion, and adoption of the Project management framework

·         Promote and manage the PMM process to capture and leverage the re-use of organizational informational assets, including work documents, deliverables, lessons-learned/technical and user-guide documentation and collateral

 

Qualifications

·         Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

·         Ability to quickly assess situations, defines problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

·         Must be an outstanding problem solver and be able to look at issues from multiple angles

Education/Experience:

Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related fieldProject Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification preferred and/or formal training in Project Management5+ years experience participating in various size initiatives, with experience with  cross-functional teamsHigh proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other project management systems
