EBMS, a nationally-recognized Third Party Administrator dedicated to assisting employers throughout the United States with healthcare cost containment is seeking an IS Programmer Analyst II-Applications Developer in our corporate office.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to provide custom application development support to EBMS.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· For assigned projects, provide an accurate work effort estimate for technical design and development work.
· Translate functional requirements from Business Analysts into detailed technical designs. Identify areas for additional requirements clarification before beginning development work.
· Develop applications based on documented designs.
· Provide regular status updates on assigned projects.
· Assist with defining and documenting standards for programming, application architecture and development toolset. Review all solutions for conformance to the standards.
· Secondary phone coverage for software support for staff.
· Maintain complete documentation of all processes and procedures in designated documentation library.
· Ensure team compliance with IS service standards.
· Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or GED AND three to five years experience in a related position or field.
OR
· College degree in MIS or Computer Science with one to three years experience in a related position or field.
OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proficiency in VB, ASP, XML, SQL, .NET technologies (VB.NET, ASP.NET, 2.0/3.0 framework development)
· Must have good interpersonal skills to facilitate problem understanding and resolution.
· Basic typing/keyboarding skills.
· Must be able to work on PC/CRT for extended periods.
