Summary:        You will be responsible for supporting, directly or through team leaders, the daily inventory maintenance of the Distribution Center through daily cycle counting, inventory reconciliation and providing accuracy data to Inventory Control and DC Management Team. You will be actively involved in process improvements, maintaining control points and ongoing auditing of the process control points.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

§         You will oversee physical daily cycle as well as researching and correcting inventory variances.

§         Observe, audit, record and correct discrepancies from all areas of operations involving physical inventory. Work in concert with other management team members to provide direction, guidance, training and proactive participation in process improvement and correct inventory accounting procedures.

§         Achieve and maintain high level of inventory accuracy through physical inventories, inventory reconciliation and providing accuracy data and reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor.

§         Creating and maintaining inventory reports with the use of Oracle databases and Excel.

§         Performing other tasks as directed or requested by Inventory Control Management.

§         Ability to operate forklift, or become certified to operate forklift (East Coast only).


Qualifications:

§         Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision in a multi-functional, multi-cultural and fast paced environment.

§         Candidate must have 2 years of previous inventory control, accounting, and/or distribution experience and familiarity with warehouse management, warehouse software and inventory principles with distribution service operations.

§         Ability to handle a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously and possess good verbal and written communication skills is essential.

§         Must be able to produce reports detailing daily inventory tracking processes, interpret audit trails and have strong knowledge of PC-based systems, including word processing and spreadsheet applications (MS Office).

§         High school education required, additional education preferred.
