Kaplan publishing is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst with strong analytical skills. The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring inventory for more than 500 titles, recommending and processing reprints, and supporting Kaplan Publishings inventory management and supply chain initiatives. The individual will report to the Director of Manufacturing, and will work directly with the Publisher and Controller. Responsibilities: - Monitor demand for more than 500 titles, including more than 50 annually revised titles. Recommend reprints based on rate of sale, seasonal sales trends, and other relevant factors - Submit reprint purchase orders to manufacturers and track for timely delivery. - Communicate reprint information to warehouse. - Work with Kaplan Professional, a division of Kaplan, to ensure complete, timely information for distributed titles. - Place orders for Kaplan Professional distributed titles based on demand. Communicate order information to warehouse, and confirm receipt against purchase orders. - Work with controller to analyze inventory management and supply chain strategies. Qualifications: - 2+ years of supply chain or inventory management experience. - Bachelors degree in business or related field. - Excellent analytical and organizational skills. - Strong written and general communication skills. - Self-motivated, willing to take initiative and see projects through to completion. - Background in production or manufacturing and/or knowledge of Business Objects and TMM beneficial.
