The International Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining all department systems, processing all functions of international wire transfers (including trading currencies), processing all functions of letters of credits (including reviewing and examining export/import documents), processing all functions of export and import documentary and clean collections. Also responsible for any other administrative duty as assigned. Qualifications Thorough knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Thorough knowledge of international exchange rate systems. Thorough knowledge of foreign exchange banking products; i.e., L/C, collections, foreign exchange, etc. Working knowledge of S.W.I.F.T. (The system that links all major financial institutions throughout the world to facilitate International banking transactions). Working knowledge of international banking procedures and international affairs. General knowledge of world economics, political situations in different countries, and world geography. Excellent Excellent PC and software application skills; Word/Excel or similar software packages. Excellent customer service skills; interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Detail oriented; must demonstrate the ability to discuss previous work experience regarding detail. This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years international banking experience or 8-9 years equivalent work experience in a customer service environment related to international banking. Prefer bilingual: French, Spanish or German.
