Altec Industries thrives with talented and high-energy associates working in a team environment. There is an immediate need for an Inside Sales Representative in Birmingham, Alabama.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

* Prepare an international customer cost estimates including labor, materials, transportation and other manufacturing costs.

* Develop detailed formal bid proposals by working with Engineering, Production and Outside Sales.

* Establish sales price through the development of accurate cost quotes.

* Verify design viability with customer and vendor.

* Support outside sales team, conduct plant through and host customer inspections.

Basic qualifications:

* Bachelors degree required; engineering or business discipline preferred

* 2+ years of successful experience in a related sales position required

* Above average attention to detail and mechanical aptitude required

* Proven ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines required

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

* Written and verbal foreign language proficiency in Mandarin or Spanish required

Successful candidates will effectively interact with other associates, departments, division, distributors, vendors and customers. Analytical, verbal and written skills are in demand. A basic understanding of international business principles and practices will support involvement in the bigger picture.
