Leading New Jersey based International Pharmaceutical Corporation has an outstanding opportunity available for an Internal Audit Manager at their Corporate Headquarters. Reporting directly to the V/P of  Internal Audit, this individual will be responsible for domestic and international financial & compliance audits and special projects. Duties and responsibilities include the following:

 

Insure that departmental objectives are achieved by defining and formulating audit scope and approach.  Review and approve audit work to be preformed on engagements. Coordinate year end workload among staff.Maintain and update audit programs to insure they are current and relevant.Interface and maintain relationships with domestic and international financial managers to communicate audits, closing meetings, and audit opportunities.Participate in the interview and selection process of new audit candidates.Supervise audits and audit staff:Counsel, train and evaluate audit staff. Foster and promote a positive work environment enable staff development, morale and advancement within the department and corporation.Review and approval of audit scope and audit plan, including meeting with department management.Review of audit work papers for completeness.Lead exit conferences with management to discuss finding and recommendationsReview and approve written audit finding and reports.Review and approve time and expense reports.Assist in domestic and international Sox 404 compliance.Manage regulatory and governmental compliance audits.Make improvement and innovations to improve Internal Audit performance and effectiveness.Perform special audit and projects.

 

This position offers an excellent starting salary of up to $125K + Bonus and Stock Options. Outstanding medical and fringe benefits are provided. Advancement opportunities within the department and corporation are assured.

 

Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate will be a CPA with 5-8 years Big 4 audit experience  with large international companies (manufacturing and pharmaceutical a plus). Candidates must have superior written & oral communication skills and supervisory skills. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and Audit Control Language (ACL) are preferred. Foreign language is a decided plus.
