Position Description:
Supports all office facilities for space planning, building design, and selection of finishes on new or remodeled facilities. Project manage work from initial conception to start of business for each project assigned. May work in all phases of small projects and specialized phases of large projects. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Space planning for all Schneider facilities 2. Develop various office design layouts to meet specific business requirements 3. Specify and purchase finishes and office furnishings while maintaining corporate standards 4. Project management of furniture installations, associate moves and small facility remodels 5. Develop sets of construction documents for interior remodels 6. Inventory existing office furnishings 7. Prepare estimates for design projects and solicit bids 8. Conduct customer needs analysis/customer interviews 9. Develop and maintain good customer relations 10. Some travel required and flexibility in hours worked
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field 2. Proficient in AutoCad 3. Two years experience working with systems furniture and project management 4. Knowledge of construction documents 5. Good problem solving and critical thinking skills 6. Creative, motivated and attention to detail 7. Leadership and negotiating skills 8. Strong work ethic and customer service 9. Ability to work independently 10. Interpersonal effectiveness in working with a variety of individuals 11. Good oral and written communication skills 12. Project a professional image
