Job Title: Mid to Senior Interior Designer

Reports To: Senior Director of Interiors

Summary:

Develops interior plans, designs and administers the building project(s) for client(s) under the direction of the Project Architect by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Assists project architect in consultations with client to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated FF&E costs and construction lead times of FF&E.
2. Assists in the layout of project and integrates engineering consultant elements into a unified design for client review and approval.
3. Develop presentations to clients, review of design intent, material finishes, colors and FF&E items.
4. Assists in the preparation of contract documents for owner to issue to a building contractor.
5. Develop all phases of the design process from schematic concept and design development.
6. Assists project architect by directing activities of intern architect and/or Interior Designers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents in accordance with design intent.
7. Assist in overseeing an installation of FF&E and design intent during construction, develop final punchlist items.
8. Assist in meeting with new potential clients as needed and work with Senior Director of Interiors on marketing meeting strategy for future workload.

Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises Interior Designers

Education and/or Experience: Four year Bachelors degree or greater in Interior Design or related field from an accredited program. Minimum 5 years of related work experience.

DESCRIPTION

Hospitality interiors or architectural experience, including space planning and knowledge of materials and production of construction documents.  Must show ability to carry out project tasks in linear fashion and demonstrate successful completion of tasks.  Must demonstrate understanding of working within established budget parameters and meeting deadlines within those same parameters.  Must show ability to problem solve, both individually and as part of a project team. Also, must be available for overtime on as needed basis.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors in Architecture or Interior Designer Knowledge of building codes, structures and forms Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit experience highly desired
