Yoh IT has an immediate contract opportunity for an Interface Programmer in Indianapolis, IN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Meets with CIS business analyst/project managers, external and internal users to discuss requests for new application interfaces and modifications to existing ones.
• Designs and submits input, process, and output interface document formats for user approval.
• Designs, codes, tests and installs new or modified application interfaces according to requirements.
• Analyze problems outlined by users in terms of detailed business requirements and capabilities.
• Writes new programs and interfaces to accomplish user needs, modifies existing programs to meet governmental requirements/revisions or user needs.
• Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs. Tests and corrects problems.
• Attends classes and seminars as deemed necessary by management to acquire or maintain technical or business proficiency.
Develops and maintains internal application systems development documentation according to established standards.
• With Business Analyst/Project Manager confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify business requirements, and learn specific input and output requirements.
• Helps Business Analyst/Project Manager develop detailed description of user business interface needs.
• Reviews interface engine capabilities, to determine if requested interface is possible within existing system.
• Plans and prepares technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of program and/or interface development.
• Prepares time and cost estimates for completing projects.
• Corrects interface errors.
• Prepares instructions to assist users in the operation of systems and interfaces.
• Analyzes, reviews, and rewrites system interfaces to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• 3 to 5 years prior RDBMS experience is required, SQL Server strongly preferred.
• 2 to 3 years experience with JAVA Script
• 3 to 5 years experience with VB .Net development
• 1 to 2 years experience with Visual Studio 2003 and 2005
• 2 to 3 years experience with HL7 
• 2 to 3 years experience developing system testing procedures, test scenario development, test planning, test data, creation, test execution and test review.
• 1 to 2 years prior experience with interface development, MIRTH preferred.
• JAVA programming experience a plus
• Knowledge of XML a plus
• Use Case analysis experience a plus
• Crystal Report writing experience a plus
• Must be able to work independently at the highest level of all technical phases of interface programming.
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills to disseminate and/or obtain necessary information from customers.

SPECIAL REPORT REQUIRED:
• Primary responsibility for creation and maintenance of system interfaces, significant
error would have a severe negative impact on the Corporation and data/information sharing partners,
• Compliance to pertinent and changeable government regulations demands concentration and constant updating of knowledge base.
• Decision-making skills needed: To prepare and recommend interface solutions.
• Test results of programs (created or modified) may be reviewed by management or designated person(s).
