Cracking codes, tracking threats and analyzing intel. Presenting briefs, planning reconnaissance and operating satellite telecom systems. Intelligence Specialists in the Navy Reserve lead essential efforts behind the scenes that are critical to our national security — and the safety of those who protect it.

In this role, develop classified insight into the world around you. Establish proficiency with state-of-the-art electronics and computer equipment. Take on responsibilities that can earn you impressive credentials: undergraduate or graduate credit, national security clearance, Department of Labor certification. Not to mention, great respect.

No prior military experience is necessary to become an enlisted member of the Navy Reserve. However, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Be a U.S. citizen Be at least 18 years of age and no older than 40 upon joining Have a high school diploma (GED certificates valid in some instances) Meet Navy Reserve physical standards Get a qualifying score on the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) exam
