L-3 Integrated Systems has successfully modified over 15,000 aircraft comprised of more than 125 unique aircraft types. Job Responsibilities: Program Scheduler in the aerospace / DOD industry. Participates in the control of schedules on contracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system. Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. Participates in the preparation of schedules for all contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines. Responsible to develop and maintain schedules in Microsoft Project. Will also be conducting earned value assessments. Prepare, analyze, review and update the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Work across boundaries and coordinates actions of program teams and functional task elements such as procurement, manufacturing, quality control, logistics, and test functions. Analyze and review subcontractor and IPT schedules and link subordinate schedules to the IMS as required. Analyze schedule for program critical path and advise management of changes to the critical path and projected milestone achievement performance. Become familiar with risk management software and the application of risk management principles. Must be able to interface with and present proposed solutions to high-level customer representatives. Must be able to train IPT members in standardized scheduling methods. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Business or Technical Bachelor degree. Must have a minimum of 2 years exempt experience in any of the following; program management, acquisition, planning, scheduling, finance, or related engineering in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Software. Must be able to obtain a security clearance. Must be able to travel and work overtime as required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to communicate effectively. Primarily sedentary work. Must have close visual acuity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects.
