Job Description:
The RBC Insurance agent is responsible for generating first year premium from sales of life insurance, health insurance, annuities, and other financial services products offered by RBC Insurance. Sales are transacted through needs-based relationship selling using a Confidential Needs Analysis and Priority Profile®. Selling and customer service activities are conducted in an ethical and honest customer-focused manner. Our target market is individuals, families, and small businesses in the middle market. The agent must be licensed in the state(s) in which he or she is selling, and must be appointed only with Liberty Life Insurance Company and with approved strategic partners. All appointments with other companies must be surrendered. The agent must comply with all agency, state and Company rules, regulations and standards; and perform business with the highest ethical standards.
Requirements:
>Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
> Organized and detail-oriented
> Excellent oral and written communication skills
> Ability to analyze and respond to customer needs
> Computer proficiency in Windows-based software applications and use of the Internet
>No more than three jobs in the last five years (excluding temporary positions)
Key Accountabilities:
>Sales Results: Meet or exceed agency and Company production and persistency standards using Company prescribed tools, processes and procedures.
> Prospecting and Lead Generation: Consistently acquire large numbers of quality referrals from customers and associates at sales appointments, annual client reviews and social gatherings.
> Customer Service: Update customer profile at least annually using the Confidential Needs Analysis and/or Liberty Priority Check-Up®. Resolve customer concerns, generate new sales to solve changing needs, and acquire referrals for potential new customers.
> Training and Development: Complete all Company training programs on schedule. Achieve and maintain knowledge and proficiency in all products, sales presentations and laptop usage.
>Actively participate in all training prescribed by the agency and Company. Secure Series 6 and 63 licenses in the first year of employment. Complete successfully all continuing education and compliance training as communicated by the company and or regulatory agencies.
> Planning and Administration: utilize Company prescribed activity management processes to achieve activity, production and persistency goals. Use One Card System to create weekly/daily activity plans to meet or exceed Company and> agency production standards. Maintain accurate records and files as prescribed by the Company. Use technology to communicate with the home office, strategic partners and field management.
> Underwriting: Effectively evaluate and communicate underwriting risks to the Company.
> Communications: Effectively communicate with prospects, clients, field management, home office, and strategic partners.
>Acceptance of Supervision and Coaching: Receive and accept coaching and supervision from the sales director and sales manager, and modify activities and actions as directed.
