Detail oriented Insurance Receivables Accounting Manager with strong accounting and communications skills needed to take responsibility for monthly billing of insurance receivables to various agents and complete supporting functions. The Insurance Receivables Accounting Manager will prepare the monthly premium billing Agency Statement for the company's insurance receivables, complete application of insurance receivable collections to the company's insurance systems, prepare, maintain and establish the proper individual agent receivable inventories, and prepare and maintain Deferred premium and Statutory Non-Admitted calculations for each reporting period. The Accounting Manager will also develop proficiency to extract insurance receivable data and record associated entries in the policy and billing insurance systems, prepare monthly account reconciliations for insurance related receivables, prepare and maintain inventory and processing around the company's prepaid loss funds and deposit premiums, prepare all associated Ledger entries related to deposit premium and third party deductible and loss fund processing, assist in the testing and maintenance of premium related system interfaces into the Accounting system and the associated control processes, prepare/analyze GAAP financial statements, and work on various special Accounting projects and ad hoc tasks. Qualifications :
This Insurance Receivables Accounting Manager role requires a B.S in Accounting and (or) MBA in Accounting, managerial experience, insurance industry experience, and 7 or more years of accounting experience. CPA is a plus. Previous experience with Sungard, Delphi or Duck Creek Insurance systems and Crystal Reports is a plus. A strong accounting background with Insurance Receivables is a large plus. Strong organizational and accounting analytical skills are a must. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word.)
