Insurance Product Consultant responsibilities include: ? Taking inbound phone calls from AARP members and selling insurance to meet their homeowner and automobile insurance needs. ? Providing quotations and counseling on insurance coverage. ? Applying and adhering to appropriate underwriting guidelines to determine customer eligibility. ? Cross-selling products and services as they relate to customer needs. ? Work within established, measurable call center requirements. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We prefer professionals with retail, call center, inside/outside sales, claims, or agency experience. Applicants: ? Must have a high school diploma or GED. ? Must possess strong computer skills and ability to navigate in a Windows-based environment. ? Must be able to adjust and succeed in a fast-pace rapidly changing call center environment. ? Must successfully complete an intensive 8-week training program and pass the Oklahoma Property & Casualty licensing exam. Benefits:
WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY? At The Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay competitive base salaries and we reward performance. The starting base salary range for this position is $25,000 to $26,500, plus a 5-15% shift differential depending on schedule. Once training is completed, candidate will have an opportunity to participate in a monthly Sales incentive program, which typically occurs around the 8th month mark. WHAT ELSE CAN YOU TELL ME? ? We offer extensive paid training, which includes preparation for the Oklahoma Property & Casualty licensing exam. ? Benefits begin day one of employment, which includes medical, dental, and life insurance. We also offer a company-sponsored pension plan, a 401K plan, tuition reimbursement and three weeks vacation year one. ? Training hours are 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. This schedule will last for the first 6-8 months. Then, the work hours will be 12:30 – 9:00 pm Monday through Friday, with the option to work every Saturday or every 3rd Saturday.
