· Ability to define strategy for Customers in Java and its sub-focus areas (JEE/Portal/eCommerce/Web2.0).
· Should be recognized as an industry leader in Java and/or function as Java partner for major Clients.
· Must be able to conduct project reviews and play an active role in Architecture Governance.
· Ability to create solutions and defend them with Customer as well as Project Architects.
· Capable of creating and delivering pre-sales and proposals to Executive stakeholders, all the way up to C Level Executives.
· Must have published white papers in Java topics.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must..
· Must have defined and implemented Java solutions or any of its sub-focus areas for more than one large MNC.
· Must have led CoE, for at least one Java sub-focus area.
· Must have experience working with multiple clients in the Insurance industry; and awareness of Java related needs and trends for such Clients is a must.
· Must have trained/mentored Architects and Analysts in the past.
· Experience in multiple Java platform technologies is a must.
· Experience in creating and rolling out JEE, Portal and eCommerce solutions are a must.
· Experience in creating and rolling out solutions using open source Java industry frameworks and tools
· Experience in atleast one RDBMS.
· Experience in application security implementation.
· Experience in Web2.0 technologies.
· Experience in performance tuning of Java applications.
· Experience in sizing infrastructure is preferred.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead the Java CoE for Insurance Unit in North America.
· Align with and promote enterprise charter around assets, collaboration and branding.
· Collaborate with alliance partners.
· Mentor and provide care and feed for Architects in the respective region.
· Grow Java competency in the respective region, while working with Enterprise organization.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Engineering; Masters degree preferred.
LOCATION:
Michigan - with ability to travel for short period with less than a day's notice.
