Broker in Newport Beach is adding to staff. This is an inside position. License is a plus. If you have 2+ years in the insurance industry this is the job for you. Salary includes commissions, PTO. Base salary is $40-$60k. The business is Property and Casualty.They are looking for aggressive underwriters that have their own book of business.

Responsibilities:

· Review new and renewal business applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine placement of coverage.
· Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure.
· Negotiate with companies to handle new programs and/or unique coverages.
· Accept or decline risks and determine the placement of risks with various carriers using independent decision making and discretion.
· Implement methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes.
· Secure payments on risk bound or written.
· Ensure quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings (where applicable) are made, and taxes paid within applicable state laws.
· May do binding authority work only or a combination of binding authority and brokerage during the daily workload.
