Our client, a large chemical company with worldwide operations, is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Engineer for their gulf coast facility.  Located near Houston, Texas this is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing organization with a bright future. 

This position requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 or more years experience in a petrochemical facility.  Knowledge of field instrumentation and controls including sensors, transmitters, final elements, process control systems, communication protocols and wiring methods.  Knowledge of high voltage electrical (480, 2400, 15000 volt) switch gear and control equipment.

Primary responsibilities include:

Providing Instrument, Electrical and Analyzer expertise to the site. Collaborating with operations personnel and Instrument/Electrical & Analyzer technicians in diagnosing Instrument/Electrical & Analyzer problems and issues; developing alternatives, proposing and implementing solutions for long-term reliability by conducting root cause failure analyses and implementing preventive/predictive maintenance programs. Owner of Electrical Infrastructure, Administrator of Safety Instrument System (SIS) program, instrumentation and electrical equipment selection and installation process.
