TimelyText™ focuses 100% of its effort on providing central North Carolina technology-based companies with the best contract (and staff or temp-to-hire) technical writers, marketing writers, editors, instructional designers, and project managers of communications projects.

Most positions are contract-based, but may evolve to temp-to-hire.  TimelyText™ offers competitive rates and real support to help ensure success.  Some positions may offer some flexibility to work from your home office; however, we cannot consider candidates located outside the Raleigh/Durham area.

At present, we seek professionals in the following disciplines:

Instructional Designers:

Experience with all aspects of ID from task analysis and needs assessment to development and evaluation.  Solid storyboarding capability is a must.  Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable background in development of e-learning and blended learning programs, including significant experience using one or more rapid development tools (Captivate, Camtasia, OnDemand, Toolbook, Authorware, etc.).

Marketing Communication Specialists:

Creative writers/editors who can weave marketing objectives into a variety of formats (features, white papers, internet content, collateral copy, etc.) for internal or external audiences.  Agency and/or technical products background a plus.

Technical Writers:

Self-directed professionals who work well with software and/or hardware developers and engineers.  Must be able to pull necessary information from design specs or interviews with SMEs and manipulate it into top quality documentation.  Some positions require experience with FrameMaker, XML, or DITA.  Experience writing to style guidelines is a must.

Project Managers:        

Seasoned project management professionals experienced with diverse project portfolios.  Exposure to training and/or communications projects preferred.  PMI certification and PMBOK familiarity a definite plus.

TimelyText™ also has regular needs for Editors with technical subject acumen and experience editing manuals, web content, articles, and/or course content.  Strong experience with Chicago Manual, AP, and/or other recognized editing standards required.
