Position Description: Summary:
The Instructional Analyst will provide support to CSN and faculty in the effective use and integration of current and new teaching and learning academic technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
These duties are deemed typical, but not inclusive of other duties as client and company needs change:
Provides consulting and support for faculty in the effective use of new and current technologies for instructional purposes to support and improve student learning.
Responsible for identifying and testing new technologies, recognizing trends, gathering and analyzing data and recommending instructional technology development plans.
Provides support by managing instructional technology projects; locating, recommending and assisting with the development of curricular materials.
Provides leadership in the development of technology-enhanced curriculum and courses and serves the faculty to educate, inspire, encourage, motivate and provide support in their use of academic technologies.
Plans, coordinates and conducts special topics workshops in the use of technologies in instruction for faculty.
Administer course management system (WebCT) used in the delivery of online classes.

Position Requirements:Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
The successful candidate needs the ability to work with people of varying levels of computer knowledge and must be able to explain technology to non-technologists while reflecting a professional attitude.
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well individually and as a team member and possess demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.
Experience using and integrating new and current technologies into learning environments, specifically the Internet, compressed video, software, digital equipment, podcasting, and distance education technologies.
Experience designing and implementing effective teaching and learning spaces.
Experience with PC and Macintosh computers and their operating systems.
Experience managing projects.
Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Language Skills:
Ability to produce professional Academic Technology procedural documentation and related reports. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to client, faculty and/or top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
