Infrastructure Manager/Director Village Voice Media Phoenix, AZ   Village Voice Media, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona has sixteen newsweeklies in major cities throughout the United States.   Village Voice Media focuses on investigative reporting, feature writing, commentary, and comprehensive coverage of entertainment and the arts.   Award-winning journalism, innovative marketing and comprehensive sales strategies distinguish the Village Voice Media papers. Likewise, the same high levels of professionalism, creativity and dynamics are the cornerstones of our Information Technology team and the services we provide.   We have an opening in our Information Technology department for an Infrastructure Manager/Director that will have the following responsibilities.   Responsibilities: Provide infrastructure architecture and planning for high traffic web based environments. Manage and lead an Infrastructure department that is responsible for Networks, Systems, Security, and Infrastructure utilized for our business, Intranet, and Internet applications. Selection of the hardware and software systems utilized that will effectively meet our objectives for scalability, stability, and security. Participate in the disaster recovery, business continuity, security, and infrastructure application integration initiatives. Protect the business by enforcing change control processes for production systems.   Skills/ Experience: Maintenance and management of Internet & Intranet environments that are scalable, stable, and secure Network architecture and management System Administration experience preferably with Linux (LAMP stack) and Microsoft based operating systems and infrastructure applications Project management including cross departmental management experience Experience in high-traffic environments Rapid deployment and standardization expertise Effective utilization of monitoring and alerts system Experience managing the convergence of technologies that delivers value to the business   Personal Skills: Leadership & team management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent customer service skills
