o Build PCs based on standard Tier 1 and Tier 2 scripts
o Deploy and install workstations for end users
o Troubleshoot, fix, track, and, when necessary, escalate customer requests
o Monitor the IT customer queue at all times and seek assistance on prioritization when necessary
o Configure workstations for users when changes occur such as new printers or software upgrades
o Install software and follow software license compliance policies and procedures
o Implement Odessa IT best practices, policies, and processes
o Provide assistance in the implementation of system upgrades and projects
o Provide assistance to other Odessa IT team members when needed
o Be a backup for the Lead Infrastructure Analyst role

This position requires minimal workstation technician experience with workstation and software applications in a business environment. Should possess strong knowledge of the following: 
o Windows environments (NT/W2K), Microsoft client side networking, and MS Office Suite. 
o Skillset to build, install, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows based PC’s in a networked environment. 
o Ability to independently develop and maintain good customer relations, communication, and strong teamwork skills. 
o Ability and desire to take ownership; seeing tasks and assignments through to completion of customers' satisfaction. 
o Ensure installed software is in compliance with appropriate licenses. 
o Good prioritization and organizational skills; able to work on multiple priorities while balancing overall responsibilities. 
o Manage time and resources effectively; strong ability to multi-task while maintaining focus on changing priorities. 
o Participation on project teams (e.g., Application and hardware upgrades/deployments). 
o Strong intrapersonal, interpersonal, logical/analytical and troubleshooting skills. 
o Strong written and verbal communication skills

Work Experience/Skills PREFERRED 
2+ years of workstation technician experience in a business environment with strong knowledge of the following: 
o ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) 
o Terminal/Citrix Servers o Networking fundamentals 
o Experience in implementing or managing small desktop related projects 
o Maintain an understanding of new and upcoming desktop related technologies 
o Database knowledge (SQL, Sybase, Oracle) o Handheld devices 

Education REQUIRED 
High School Diploma or equivalent

Education PREFERRED 
Associates degree in CS/CIS related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Other Considerations/Comments
Succesful candidate must be able to lift IT equipment: workstations, monitors, printers, etc.
