Description: The e-Discovery Analyst will be responsible for coordinating activity for and executing on e-Discovery requests, Information Security investigations and forensic activity for eBay Marketplaces. The e-Discovery Analyst needs to be well organized with strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate good judgment, and be confident working independently with direction from Information Security and Legal management. The role involves extensive interaction with multiple groups within eBay including IT, Information Security, Legal, HR and Physical Security.Working under the direction of Senior Manager, Technical Investigations, the successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the following:The e-Discovery Analyst must be proficient in a wide range of technologies and a willingness and desire to learn new and specialized techniques and software packages. - Manage the Information Security response to all applicable e-Discovery events.
- Perform sensitive security investigations in line with established eBay processes and industry standards. - Fully document all investigative tasks using a fully auditable and sound methodology. Qualifications:

Technical Attributes Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Strong leadership and team motivation skills
- Experience working in a professional environment involving global applications and site-critical functions.
- Total of 3 years in the area of Information Security, Investigations or e-Discovery.
- Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.
- Available for travel on short notice.
- Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice.
- Available for on-call duties outside of regular business hours as necessary

Personal Attributes Required:
- You are a self-motivated engineer who will build out and manage the Information Security e-Discovery role.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to technical or non-technical audiences.
- Ability to take responsibility for success of program and drive results throughout the response program.
- Willingness to act within a 24x7 environment.
- Strong sense of professionalism and ethics.
- Enthusiasm and interest in information security, forensics and e-discovery.
- Initiative to take on tasks without prompting -- self-starter.
- Ability to work as a member of a large security team, as well as work individually on projects.

Expertise in the following is a plus:
- Encase
- Strong knowledge of Internet, web and networking technologies in both UNIX and Microsoft environments.
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong experience with UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with C, Java, Perl, PHP, Python, HTML, Javascript, and shell scripting is a plus.

Certifications considered a plus:
- CISSP, EnCE, GCFA Security, SANS certificates.
