SCCI is currently seeking an Information Assurance Engineer / Analyst to join our team in San Diego, CA.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Expert knowledge of the following U.S. Government and DoD policies and Instructions:DoD 5200.1DoD 8500 (Information Assurance) series (DITSCAP/DIACAP)Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/3National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) application as it relates to C&AInformation Assurance (IA), Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Vulnerability Assessment and / or Risk AnalysisWillingness to interact with numerous government and civilian customers in a dynamic environment with the ability to perform numerous tasks simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detailWorking knowledge of Microsoft computer applications (Project, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel)

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

DoD 8570.1-M applicable certifications (CISSP, Security+, GIAC, etc.)Previous experience in DoD-based programsBachelor’s degree in an IA-related discipline (ex. Computer Science or IT)SECRET security clearance


Position Summary
:

 

The successful candidate will act as a lead consultant, interfacing between our US Navy customer and our information assurance team throughout the federal information system certification and accreditation life cycle.  You will be actively engaged in identifying unique system characteristics, interviewing key organizational personnel, working with our team to compose requisite documentation (security test plans and procedures, risk assessments, contingency planning, etc.), and mapping complex technical requirements, functionality, and capabilities to prescribed security controls, policies, and practices.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

Provide in depth technical support for the analysis and evaluation of security concepts, designs, and testsSupport Information Assurance (IA) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities to include threat assessments, vulnerability assessments, Security Certification Test and Evaluation and risk analysisAssess system vulnerabilities and determine adequacy of security controls implemented and the level of residual riskSchedule and coordinate Information Assurance activities Generate System Security Authorization Agreements (SSAA) Information Assurance Strategies, System Security Plans, Security Policy documentation and all other pertinent IA documentation in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and all other agency and department guidanceProvide  the technical capability to analyze problems associated with integration and assist in the correction of security deficiencies of hardware and software used in current and planned systems and networksProvide the necessary security guidance and leadership to ensure connectivity, interoperability, and interface requirements comply with DoD programs and policies
