This position is responsible for marketing solutions for the global market, including tailoring industry solutions and crafting compelling go-to-market programs to build preference for our products. Based on the in-depth understanding of the key business processes and problems that face the buyer segments, and the current perception of the problems solved by the products and solutions, the Industry Solutions Manager (ISM) will drive the market adoption of their respective vertical solutions and its most valuable attributes to the target market segments. This role will work very closely with the sales teams to support achievement of aggressive revenue and growth objectives.
Key Areas of Responsibility:Solution Definition: Own and drive the industry go-to-market business plan to deliver a complete, compelling solution including vertical templates, identifying key partners, working with consulting to develop services, defining the pricing and packaging, ensuring sales success, etc.Drive Revenue Generation: Develop targeted vertical solutions that drive incremental license revenue growth over plan. • Customer Commitment: Drive targeted charter prospect and customer success in defined industry for our service, marketing, sales and feedback solutions. Develop reputation within RightNow as acustomer champion for the industry. Product Marketing: Develop product and solutions positioning, target communication plans and go-to-market strategies that drive preference and distinguish us from the competition in named industry. Manage all product marketing activities for global industry market including analyst & media relations, content development, demonstration development, training, and customer & partner communications.New Product Launch: Lead marketing and sales campaigns to support vertical-specific new product launches and serve as a product expert to educate partners, sales, analysts, media & customers.Business Development: Help identify and develop new strategic partnerships with industry specific systems integrators and third party software integrations.Executive Presentations: Demonstrate and present RightNow solutions before small and large audiences at diverse venues for customers, prospects, sales, executives, CEOs, media and industry analysts. Create and deliver presentations for sales training, prospect events, customer events, user conferences and industry forums.Analyst Relations: Build and drive relationships with leading industry analysts through business reviews and quarterly updates. Meet Marketing’s and the overall company goals and objectives as defined by the business plan and quarterly MBOs. Consistently deliver high quality work and manages projects that maximize the effectiveness of the overall team.Knowledge Base:Applicants must have industry-specific knowledge and proven experience with verticalization and building a business plan and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales in target verticals Applicants must be able to demonstrate a track record of success in the all key areas of responsibility stated above (via prior art portfolio or project presentation). Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.Ability to align tactical plans with strategiesStrong project management skillsSkill Set:MBA desired, along with software business experieceMust have strong leadership skills and initiative to drive business objectives. Self-starter, organized, flexible, customer focused strong business sense.Ability to understand decisions impact on other areas of the business.Excellent oral presentation, written communications, and sales interaction skills are a must.Ability to execute on a number of parallel tasks.Desire strong knowledge of the CRM and customer experience market.Ability to learn quickly and to communicate about new technologies in a fast paced environment.General Training Path:Relevant product management or product marketing with strong business orientation experience, experience in managing projects across organizations, demonstrated skills in understanding buyers needs and motivations, as well as experience positively impacting market perception of solutions.
