INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

The Okonite Company is looking for an INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER at its Cumberland, Rhode Island plant.  Key areas of responsibility will include: time studies, leading Lean Manufacturing projects, developing and maintaining direct labor cost standards, improving methods and eliminating waste, investigating and reducing variances, championing cost reductions, and other process related projects as assigned.  Position requires significant “on the floor” presence performing studies and projects. 

Requirements include a BS in Engineering (IE preferred) and at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.  The ideal candidate will have experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques (5S, QCO, TPM), stopwatch/video tape techniques, AutoCad, and Six Sigma.  Recent graduates with strong Co-Op/Internship experience will be considered.
