The Mergis Group, a division of Spherion is in search of a Corporate Counsel to work for a reputable Pharmaceutical company in the Washington DC Metro Area.

 

The ideal candidate will have a experience with pharmaceutical and or FDA experience.

In addition to working knowledge and experience in general corporate transactions, including substantial experience in contract law, general business law and drug law.

Location: Rockville, MD

 

The role consists of providing legal support for the clinical development commercial activities of the company. 

 

In addition to:

Provides legal review of contracts, protocols, informed consents, and scientific communications.

Drafts, reviews and manages a variety of contracts and agreements.

Provides legal review of promotional materials and activities, grants and medical education activities.

 

Provides support for patent, licensing, trademark and copyright matters.

Offers guidance to project team activities to ensure compliance with company policies and legal/regulatory requirements.

Provides legal guidance for compliance activities.

 

Candidate must have:

 

JD, bar admittance, and minimum 3 years related legal experience.

Must have a working knowledge and experience in general corporate transactions, including substantial experience in contract law, general business law, FDA and drug law.


Demonstrated ability to: analyze, interpret and apply government regulations, guidance and requirements; identify potential risks and work to develop and implement solutions; exercise good judgment regarding the interpretation of policies, development of procedures, and selection of appropriate courses of action.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to assume substantial responsibility required.

Willingness to support other attorneys when needed and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment also required.
